Better make that reservation now!
Our dates are filling up fast...
Whatever adventure you have in mind, we can make it happen for up to 6 guests. We can even transport guests and gear to most local lodges, cabins and campsites. Be sure to call if you would like to combine smaller groups for price savings and one big Alaskan Marine Adventure!
When you're ready to book your Alaskan Marine Adventure (or if you just have questions) don't hesitate to give us a call! Since every adventure is custom for your group, our captains are ready and waiting to help you plan your adventure of a lifetime.
Reservations can be made with a 50% deposit. The full balance will be due 1 month prior to your adventure (or prior to departure in the case of shorter notice bookings.)
All deposits are fully refundable in the event of written cancellation at least 30 days in advance. Cancellations due to extreme weather, ship/air delays, or captain illness are always fully refundable. In the event of cancellation with less than 30 days notice, no refunds will be issued. Note: charters booked with less than 30 days notice are, by definition, non-refundable.

A: Of course you can! Whenever a group doesn't quite meet the minimum capacity to run a tour, you have several options...
1)Book the whole boat for yourself, then hit the "Roll Call" boards at our Discussion Forum and see if you can make some new friends that would like to join you.
2)Pay for the minimum number of spaces to guarantee the trip will run, even if it's just a couple of guests.
3)Book only the seats you need and "gamble" with the outcome. It's not a total gamble, though... In the past, when folks have booked a trip and not met the minimum:
a)6 out of 10 trips fill up anyway
b)another 2 out of 10 can be placed on other boats that I work co-operatively with
c)only 1 out of 10 actually cancel their trip and find something else
d)and once in a great while (if I have nothing pressing on my schedule) I've been known to run with just 1 or 2 aboard - especially if it's a nice day!
A: In order to provide higher quality tours, we are proud to offer tours only aboard boats meeting the strict criteria set by our local “Professional Mariners Group.” Membership in PMG is restricted to long-experienced local Captains who hold current commercial insurance, Coast Guard license, Alaska Fishing Guide and Vessel licenses, CPR and First Aid certificates, and are enrolled in a random drug testing program. Additionally, each boat must be either a Coast Guard inspected vessel or be inspected by the Coast Guard under the voluntary “Five Star” inspection program. Each member has agreed to abide by the “Tourism Best Management Practices” (TBMP) and is pledged to provide a “VIP-style” tour in all circumstances. We want to ensure an enjoyable, valued, personalized, and un-crowded tour for all clients. Therefore the maximum passengers carried will vary depending upon the type of tour rather than legal passenger limitations. The Can Can also has a large, enclosed & heated cabin; extra-clean toilet & shower facilities; and an in-cabin CO detector to ensure maximum passenger comfort and safety.
In addition to our insistence on the highest possible standards of safety, complimentary “Alaskan” snacks are also available throughout all of our tours. Sodas, bottled water, coffee and hot cider are always on-hand when you need refreshment. Meals are served on trips longer than 6 hours, and be sure to ask Case about his famous breakfasts if you’re on an overnight trip! Meals and snacks shouldn’t be the only factor used in deciding who you charter with, but our meals and snacks have become one of the many factors that sets Alaskan Marine Adventures ahead of the rest. New for 2008, all pricing also includes Juneau sales tax and license fees. For fishing charters, your catch will be cleaned and dressed right away to preserve freshness. When you return to the dock, your Captain can arrange for fish caught to be professionally processed (packaged, flash frozen, smoked, etc.), and later shipped to your home for an additional charge. (Most cruise ships will not store your fish aboard.)
Q: What makes Alaskan Marine Adventures’ tours so much better than all the other tours I see offered in Alaska?
Q: I see a “Minimum Number of Passengers” for each tour. What if my group isn’t big enough to meet the minimums? Can I still book a charter with you?
Q: This all sounds GREAT! How do I reserve my Alaskan Marine Adventure?
A: Just send us an eMail with your requested time and tour, or give us a call. You can reach Case any time he’s not on a tour at (907) 789-FISH. Our Reservations Manager can be reached during business hours at (907) 957-1666. Remember that “Alaska Time” is 1 hour behind US Pacific Time and 4 hours behind US Eastern Time. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover Credit Cards, as well as checks, money-orders, and, of course, cash for short notice bookings.

Q: Do you provide shuttle service and how do we find your boat?
A: With the higher prices of fuel this year, we’ve had to discontinue our ground transportation services. It wasn’t just a cost issue either... after providing road transportation for many years, I finally realized how difficult it was for me to be in two places at once - driving a shuttle van AND a boat at the same time just didn’t work well!
Unless other arrangements have been made well in advance, all of our charters will depart from Statter Harbor in Auke Bay. There are plenty of taxis and hotel courtesy vans available at the cruise terminals and all over town. Any driver will know how to get to Auke Bay. The Can Can will be ready approximately 10-15 minutes before your scheduled charter time and we’ll be waiting in the loading zone at the base of the covered ramp
